On April 3^rd, the BJAN’s 2025 webinar season was opened. BJAN’s webinars are a great way to disseminate scientific knowledge in anesthesiology for our audience around the world, and it acts as a means to improve BJAN’s relevance.

Conceptualized by the BJAN’s Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Liana Azi, the 2025 first webinar had Dr. Luciana Paula Cadore Stefani (Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre, RS Brazil) as the speaker, and associate editor and formerly Editor-in-Chief of BJAN, Dr. André Prato Schmidt (Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine Service of Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, HCPA), as the moderator. The webinar’s issue was about “Transforming perioperative care: Challenges and opportunities for improve outcomes”, in consonance with the BJAN’s 75-2 edition, which was originated by a Call for Papers conducted by Dr. Luciana Stefani, who was a Guest Editor of this issue and wrote with Dr. Liana Azi and Dr. André Prato Schmidt an Editorial about same theme.

Our 2025 BJAN’s Season will be great news, maintaining the BJAN’s tradition of bringing to our scientific public the most relevant issues based on opinions and researches conducted by prominent figures of the world’s anesthesiology field.
