It is with great sorrow that we communicate the passing of the Ex-President os the Brazilian Society of Anesthesiology (SBA), Dr. Antonio Leite Oliva Filho. At this moment of sadness and dismay, we share with friends and family the pain for this loss.

Dr. Antônio Leite Oliva Filho graduated in Medicine from the Faculdade de Medicina do Paraná in 1969. In 1970, he was admitted to the SBA and is currently a redeemed member of the institution. Between 1976 and 1978, he held the position of President of the Paraná Society of Anesthesiology.

He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Anesthesiology from 1989 to 1994. In 1996, he was President of the Brazilian Society of Anesthesiology (SBA).
